Lisette Lahana, LCSW is a consultant to therapists wanting to build their skills and competence in working with non binary, transgender and gender-questioning clients of all ages. She runs 4 online video consultation groups for therapists which combine didactic gender training and case consultation. She began her work as a gender therapist in 1999 on the East Coast, in Western Massachusetts. A member of WPATH since 2002, Lisette is a Certified WPATH GEI SOC7 Member and Certified WPATH Mentor. Lisette has a full-time online psychotherapy practice in California where she works individually with clients of all ages with a primary focus on gender. In addition to gender work her practice is welcoming to clients of color and she specializes in EMDR, trauma therapy as well as mood disorders. Lisette is a Spanish-speaking licensed clinical social worker with Bachelor degrees in Critical Gender Studies and Psychology from UC San Diego and a Masters of Social Work from Smith College.Lisette also worked as a gender therapist at Kaiser Permanente, including as a part of interdisciplinary teams, for over thirteen years.
